Brilliant Velveeta Ad Campaign

I just had to share a great commercial series I’ve really loved lately from Velveeta. It’s fairly low budget, but is super outside the box and really well done. There are some great audio elements in these spots that really make it work. This has been placed in mostly online channels like Hulu, YouTube, etc. but has been really well received. If you can make people smile and say, “Huh, I liked that,” you’ve gone a long way towards giving them a more positive image of you or your product. You don’t need to yell at people by putting all kinds of phone numbers and discounts all over your ads to generate some good awareness and positive vibes.

Just finalized a project with Colorado Springs, CO based composer and songwriter Jessamine Hamer. Great stuff here — lots of it. Jes works with Tin Roof Productions and was the musical mastermind behind the critically acclaimed, musical rendition of Sense and Sensibility. Radio Ads Win Gold Addy Award

I’m very excited to announce that the radio ads I produced and engineered for the Difficult Choices Committee won a gold Addy award for the regional competition of the American Advertising Federation. These ads were produced as part of a larger campaign by a team from The CSK Group in Colorado Springs.

Theater film project receives press acclaim

A promo video for a musical rendition of Sense & Sensibility recently received some accolades from ColoradoSprings.com. I had the pleasure of recording, mixing and mastering audio for this piece. The Colorado Springs culture site called the promotional spot “MTV slick but thoughtful” and mentioned that the song was a “lush and lonely ballad worthy of humming on your way to the car.”

Kudos to songwriter and composer Jessamine Hamer for crafting music that so accurately reflects a classic story, and to video producer Andrew Harmon for his film skills. I love being a part of these local projects.
